What moving in Motor City involves
Motor City is a freehold master community by Union Properties, built around the Dubai Autodrome with First Avenue Mall next door. It has two very different sides, and that changes how we plan.
- Uptown Motor City is low to mid-rise apartment buildings such as Dickens Circus, Norton Court and Shakespeare Circus, set around parks and walkways. Moves here are about lift slots and loading points.
- Green Community Motor City is a gated area with villas, townhouses and terraced apartments around a lake. Moves here mean bigger loads, garden furniture and gate access.
The community is popular with families because GEMS Metropole School is inside Motor City, with more schools next door in Dubai Sports City. Many of the moves we see are families stepping up from an Uptown apartment to a Green Community villa, or the other way round. Race and event days at the Autodrome can add traffic to nearby roads, so we check the calendar when choosing a time slot.
Permits and access
Before moving day, check with your building management (for Uptown apartments) or community management (for Green Community homes) on what approval they need.
- Have your Ejari, Emirates ID and passport copy ready, plus a landlord NOC if asked.
- Book the service lift and loading bay for apartment moves.
- For the gated Green Community, make sure security expects the truck and crew.
- If you are moving out, ask whether a move-out approval or final clearance is needed before you return the keys.
We share crew and vehicle details with management and help you prepare the request, so the paperwork is settled before the first box is packed.
How we plan a Motor City move
A free survey, in person or by video call, comes first, then a written quote. One crew packs, protects floors and lifts, loads, drives and reassembles at the new home.
For villas we bring enough hands for large rooms, outdoor furniture and dismantling beds and wardrobes. For apartments we size the load to the lift. Move-out and move-in painting can be added if your landlord wants walls refreshed. Access via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street makes moves to Arjan, Sports City or Al Barsha quick to route.
